About Quint Software

Quint Software is a small boutique development house. We make focused, privacy-first apps for people who want their tools to do one thing exceptionally well.

We’re a sibling brand to Quint Books, which publishes carefully annotated editions of classic literature. The two projects share a parent company — Quint Books LLC — and an attitude toward craft: less is more, ship things that last, and treat the people who use the work with respect.

What we believe

• Privacy by construction. Whenever we can make an app work without sending your data anywhere, we do. Our apps prefer on-device processing because we don’t want to hold information we don’t need.
• Focused over feature-bloated. A tool that does one thing exceptionally well beats a tool that does ten things adequately.
• Built to last. A small house can keep maintaining and improving an app for years, without venture-capital growth pressure that eventually breaks what you bought.

Who’s behind it

Quint Software is run by Philip Trauring, who also edits the Quint Essential Edition of The Innocents Abroad on the Quint Books side of the house.
